Where Should You Rent in Vero Beach?

Vero Beach is small enough that everything feels connected, but each neighborhood has its own personality. Whether you're relocating for work at Piper Aircraft, starting a healthcare assignment at Cleveland Clinic, or just looking for a quieter corner of Florida's coast, picking the right neighborhood matters.

Here's an honest breakdown of the areas where North Crane Living manages rental properties.

Central Beach & Ocean Drive

Best for: Young professionals, hospitality workers, beach lovers, walkability enthusiasts

Central Beach is the heart of Vero Beach's social life. Ocean Drive runs along the barrier island with restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, and direct beach access. The Riverside Theatre hosts performances year-round. The Saturday farmers market is a weekly ritual for locals.

Rent here starts around $1,500/mo for a one-bedroom. You pay a premium for walkability and beach proximity, but many renters find the lifestyle worth every dollar. You can walk to dinner, bike to the farmers market, and see the ocean from your commute.

The area around Vero Beach Regional Airport is practical and surprisingly well-located. It's home to Piper Aircraft and Skyborne Airline Academy, and within 15 minutes of the beach. Newer apartment construction in this area offers modern finishes at reasonable rents.
